Temperatures have dropped into the 30s after reaching highs in the 40s, Channel 2 Action News reported.
The current temperature is 34 degrees in Atlanta.
Highs were expected to reach 48 degrees Friday, but clouds and 13-mph winds stalled the high at 42, Channel 2 reported.
Temps are expected to start in the low 30s Saturday before a warmup later in the day, Channel 2 meteorolgist Brad Nitz said.

Highs are expected to reach 53 Saturday, 58 Sunday and 64 Monday.
There is a chance of light showers in far North Georgia late Saturday night, Channel 2 reported. A strong disturbance could develop over the weekend and bring rain Sunday evening.
“This time, the cold and the rain (are) not going to overlap,” Nitz said.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain Sunday and a 40 percent chance Monday. Thunder may accompany the rain Monday, Channel 2 reported.
