A few sunny moments came and went Thursday in metro Atlanta. And clouds are expected through the evening, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The region will return to sunny days and highs in the mid-80s in the coming days, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

“We’ll be partly cloudy and dry (Friday) as we continue our warming trend and heading towards a pretty nice weekend,” Nitz said.

Currently, the temperature is 72 degrees in Atlanta.

The high is expected to reach 84 Friday and Saturday and 85 Sunday.

“If you want to get back to the mid-80s,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said, “just hang in there. We’ll be there shortly.”
