After a cool morning, the weather warmed up in the afternoon for Black Friday shoppers in metro Atlanta.

Currently, the temperature is 52 degrees in Atlanta.

The average high for this time of year is 61.

And don’t worry about rain. The clouds that were hanging around Friday morning moved out and no chance of rain is in the Channel 2 Action News five-day forecast.

“We will be mostly clear as we head through today,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist BrianMonahan said.

That means shoppers who want to continue seeking bargains into the evening will be able to leave their umbrellas at home.

And it means pristine conditions for Friday night’s high school football playoffs around the state.

The expected highs are 64 again Saturday and 61 Sunday under clear skies. The highs are forecast to remain in the 60s early next week, with lows each day in the 40s.

Temps are expected to climb close to 70 by Wednesday.
