Juanyeh Thomas made his commitment to Georgia Tech official on Wednesday when he signed his letter of intent to become a Yellow Jacket.

The Niceville High School (Niceville, Fla.) cornerback is rated as a three-star prospect according to 247Sports Composite. He had close to 20 offers before choosing the Yellow Jackets on Aug. 8. Thomas spurned SEC contenders Auburn, Mississippi State and Florida by choosing Georgia Tech.

At 6-foot-2, 204 pounds, he adds good size to a defensive back field that loses four of its five starters from a season ago. Thomas is rated No. 126 among cornerbacks in the country, but also played some safety in high school, which might be a position he switches to in college.
