It’s going to be a busy week for the defending NFC champions.
Here are five things to know about the Atlanta Falcons on Monday:
1. Controversial ceremony: The Falcons are set to host a retirement ceremony for former quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver Roddy White at 1 p.m. on Monday. There is a hearty dissent to Vick being honored. More than 36 percent of folks in a unscientific poll voted "No" to the question, Should the Falcons host a ceremony for Michael Vick?" as of 9 p.m. Sunday night.
2. Minicamp starts: The Falcons' mandatory minicamp starts on Tuesday. Here are five issues facing head coach Dan Quinn and his two new coordinators, Steve Sarkisian and Marquand Manuel.
3. Open to the public: The Wednesday session, which starts at 2:05 p.m., will be open to the public. The gates will open at 1 p.m.
4. Cheer practice started. The Falcons' Cheerleader squad started practice on Friday.
5. Georgia Dome implosion date set: Recent progress on the construction of Mercedes-Benz Stadium has led officials to set a date for demolishing the Georgia Dome next door. The Dome — the Falcons' home for the past 25 years — is now scheduled for implosion at 7:30 a.m. Nov. 20, the team's parent company, AMB Group, said Friday.
