Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman went down with injury in the third quarter on Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals.

Sherman was listed on the Seahawks’ injury report with an achilles injury, and has not practiced all week. When he was on the ground, he reached for that same achilles. Sherman was able to walk off of the field under his own power.

He was visibly upset while leaving the field, and on the sideline. Coming out of a commercial break, the Thursday Night Football broadcast showed a clip of Sherman on the sideline with no sound. However, it was easy to read his lips and he said twice “I tore my achilles.”

Seahawks digital media reporter John Boyle tweeted out that Sherman has a heel injury, and is doubtful to return to the game.

The Seahawks came into the game without free safety Earl Thomas, who is out a second-consecutive game with a hamstring injury. Also, left tackle Duane Brown left the field in the second quarter with an ankle injury and has not returned.

Early in the fourth quarter the Seahawks lead the Cardinals 22-10.
