Brandin Cooks joined Randy Moss and Wes Welker as the
only three wide receivers to eclipse 500 yards in their first seven games with the Patriots. Yet, Cooks believes he’s just scratching the surface in
The Patriots wide receiver acknowledged that he’s still building a repoir with Tom Brady and is looking forward to even better
“I think it’s been going well,” Cooks said, via
Ryan Hannable of WEEI. “We’ve still got a lot of work to do to be able to play our best ball together, but I think we’re headed in the right direction.
What I admire about him — I mean, his work ethic and attention to detail is unbelievable. You’ve got to respect that for a
guy that’s been playing this game for so long.”
Entering Week 10, Cooks is 10th in the NFL in receiving yards. He’s registered 33 receptions for 563 yards and three touchdowns
The speedy wideout’s on pace for his fewest receptions and receiving yards since his rookie year. Nevertheless, Cooks gives
the Patriots a legit No. 1 wideout who can stretch the field, something New England’s been missing since Moss. And, according
to Cooks, the best is yet to come.
