Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is getting another jump on his broadcasting career this week with his team on a bye.
Olsen, who is currently on injured reserve but is on track for a return to action later this month, is taking advantage of his off week by joining the FOX broadcast booth for the Los Angeles Rams against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, according to Bill Voth of Panthers.com. That game will be played in Minneapolis at 12 p.m. CT.
Of course, this isn’t Olsen’s first foray into broadcasting. Olsen was a part of NFL Network’s 2017 NFL Scouting Combine coverage where he was down on the field during tight end drills to offer some insight into technical aspects of the prospects’ performances and what coaches and scouts are looking for.
Olsen was funny, articulate and incredibly insightful, seemingly paving the way for a long career in broadcasting after football. However, he certainly hopes to delay that career path for as long as possible.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection fractured his right foot during a victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. He’ll be eligible to return from injured reserve against the New York Jets in Week 12 on Nov. 26.
