Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is looking forward to Hall of Famer Brett Favre’s speech to the team on Saturday.

“He’s one of the greatest to ever play the game,” Foles said. “His style and the way he played the game, he was a true gunslinger. He had a rocket arm and could throw it from any which angle. Off his back foot, he could just throw it any where he wants.”

Eagles coach Doug Pederson was Favre’s backup quarterback (1996-98 and 2001-2004) for eight seasons  in Green Bay. He guided the Packers to a Super Bowl victory over the Patriots after the 1996 season.

“He’s been there,” Foles said. “He’s won the big games. He played a lot of football. So, anytime you have an opportunity to listen to someone like him speak, it’s huge. I can’t wait to hear him and listen to what wisdom and knowledge that he gives us.”
