Here are five things to know about the Falcons on Friday:

1. Matt Bryant watch. The team's 42-year-old kicker has rested his back all week. He'll kick today to see if he's ready for Sunday's 1 p.m. game against the Dolphins at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Falcons coach Dan Quinn was optimistic, but signed Mike Meyer to the practice squad as insurance.

2. Jones is ready to go. Falcons All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones is ready to go. Jones  said he didn't injure his hip on the play when he laid out for an overthrown ball and crashed to the turf against Buffalo.

3. Injury update. Vic Beasley (hamstring) has been limited in practice all week, but hasn't been available in the media sessions. So, we don't know how he's been coming along. The media suspects he's not ready to go and thus not ready to speak. Practicing and not speaking to the media is violation of the league's media policy and his contract, but he's so gracious with his time that no one will turn him into league.

4. Schraeder opens up. Falcons right tackle Ryan Schraeder discusses his return to the team after being in the concussion protocol.

5. Trump hotels. The Falcons are not one of the pro sports teams boycotting hotels owned by President Donald J. Trump because they've never stayed at them in the first place.
