Georgia Tech's transfer count since the end of the regular season has reached eight. Offensive tackle Trey Klock posted a message Tuesday from his Twitter account saying that he will transfer after he graduates this summer with a business administration degree.

His plan is to pursue an MBA at another school with two years of eligibility remaining. As a graduate transfer, he can go to any FBS school and play immediately.

“I am confident in my decision and look forward to the next step in my life,” Klock said in a statement.

Klock played in 10 games this season and started four after starting three games in 2015 as a redshirt freshman. This season, he started the first two games before suffering an ankle injury that sidelined him. He returned to get back into the tackle rotation and started against Pittsburgh and Georgia. A redshirt sophomore from Hummelstown, Pa., Klock was in position to be a part of the tackle rotation next season. He also distinguished himself by founding a chapter of an organization dedicated to supporting rare-disease research and awareness .

He is the second offensive tackle who will graduate and leave with eligibility remaining, joining Eason Fromayan, who graduated in December and is pursuing his dream of being on a NASCAR pit crew .

In his statement, Klock thanked coach Paul Johnson and the staff for the opportunity to play, as well as the team’s medical, training and academic adviser staffs.

“I am forever grateful for my time as a Yellow Jacket,” he wrote. “I have made some lifelong friends and incredible memories that I will never forget. The legacy of the traditions this program was founded on will live inside me for the rest of my life and I am very proud to have been a part of it.”

Of the eight transfers since the end of the regular season, Klock will be the first to leave as a graduate. The other seven are linebacker Emanuel Bridges, B-back Marcus Marshall, cornerbacks Meiko Dotson and Dorian Walker, wide receiver Harland Howell and Christian Philpott and defensive lineman Trent Sellers.
