Newton High School defensive tackle receives 2018 offer from Tech


Defensive tackle Darnell Jefferies received a 2018 offer from Georgia Tech on Tuesday, according to Sleeper Athletics.

The 6-foot-3, 265 pound junior from Newton High School in Covington, Ga. visited Tech on Oct. 1 for the Yellow Jackets’ loss to Miami and on Sept. 10 for Tech’s win over Mercer.

On Monday, Jefferies received his only other offer from Virginia Tech, according to 247 Sports.
