Recruiting is the hottest topic in college football, with signing day coming up Feb. 1. Georgia State already has 11 players committed in the 2017 class, four three-star players, despite getting a whole new staff and a new head coach in Shawn Elliott on Dec. 8.

The Panthers, who averaged only 87 rushing yards per game, need to fill some holes along the offensive line and at the safety position, where they lost first-team All-Sun Belt Conference safety Bobby Baker. Elliott did just that on his first weekend for visits, landing two three-star players at center and defensive back.

Per Ben Moore, writer at georgiastate.247sports.com, three-star recruit Jalyon Jones is the highest rated defensive back prospect in Georgia State history, and he has the ability to play cornerback or safety. Elliott also landed the No. 17 center prospect in the country, per the 247Sport Composite rankings, in three-star recruit Pat Bartlett, who is 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds.

The Panthers also landed Chris Bacon, another three-star defensive back player who ranks just below Jones, and both look to bolster the safety position. The last three-star recruit is inside linebacker Trajan McQueen, who had 145 tackles and six tackles for loss in his final season of high school football.

Here are the rest of the commits:
