BREAKING: Nation’s No. 6 junior TE Ryland Goede also commits to UGA

It has been an all-time signing day morning for the Bulldogs. The news from junior Ryland Goede only adds to the excitement of the day.

Georgia picked up its seventh signee with that elite 5-star rating on National Signing Day in Tyson Campbell . The Bulldogs also flipped two in-state commits who were bound for SEC schools in Otis Reese and Quay Walker, respectively.

Yet all eyes today are not on a group that has eyes on the nation’s top class for this cycle.

Georgia just tightened its grip on the nation’s top class for 2019, too. Goede, a 4-star TE from Kennesaw Mountain, also committed to UGA on Wednesday from a live announcement at Sports and Social in Smyrna.

Goede rates as the nation’s No. 6 TE on the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-7, 235-pounder plays three sports for his high school teams. He can shoot in the mid-70s in golf, belt 400-foot homers as a legit professional baseball prospect and also holds 19 offers from all the major powers in college football.

He chose UGA over Auburn and Michigan on Wednesday. It dates back to relationships. His life-long best friends, JD Bertrand and Domnick Blaylock, have already committed to UGA for 2019. Those three are always either hanging out or working out together.

The 4-star TE has also known Kirby Smart since his early years as a prospect. He used National Signing Day for 2018 to go ahead and end the suspense regarding his decision.
