Mike Scott had 17 points in a NBA Development League assignment game with the Long Island Nets Wednesday afternoon.

Scott started at forward for the Brooklyn Nets affiliate in a 116-107 victory over the Maine Red Claws in a game played at the Barclays Center in New York.

Scott was 8 of 16 from the field, including 1 of 6 from 3-point range, and added six rebounds, two assists, two turnovers and two blocks in 26 minutes.

It is the second D-League stint for Scott as he works his way back from non-surgical knee procedures that caused him to miss training camp and the first 18 games of the regular season. Scott played two games for the Delaware 87ers, the affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, last week. He averaged 8.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20.7 minutes. He was 7 of 19 from the field and 3 of 10 from 3-point range.

In his three games with the Hawks, in limited playing time, Scott has two points, eight rebounds and six assists.

It is likely that Scott will play at least one more game with the Nets, who play at the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Friday at 7 p.m.
