Two days ahead of the NBA trade deadline and the Hawks continue to be “very busy” exploring possible deals to add to the current roster, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Hawks have had “a lot of conversations with a lot of teams” over the past two days but nothing is imminent.

The NBA trade deadline is 3 p.m. Thursday. It is possible that the trade deadline passes without the team making a move despite the current work. The Hawks return to practice Wednesday following the All-Star break.

The Hawks feel good about the current makeup of the roster, coach and president of basketball operations Mike Budenholzer told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently. However, the team has been “appropriately aggressive” is trying to add to the roster yet remain in a strong position moving forward.

Four-time all-star Paul Millsap remains off the trade market. However at least one team has made an inquiry about his availability in recent days.
