The NBA found one incorrect call in the final two minutes of the Hawks’ 113-108 victory over the Rockets Thursday night, according to a league review. The non-call favored the Hawks.
The league issued a Last Two Minutes report from the game Friday and stated that Dwight Howard should have been called for a shooting foul on James Harden with 58 seconds remaining. The Hawks had erased a 20-point deficit and led 109-108. Harden missed a drive to the basket on the play in question. Howard was credited with a block and the Hawks got the rebound. Tim Hardaway Jr. then drove and dunked with 41.8 seconds left to increase the Hawks’ lead.
According to the report: “Howard (ATL) makes contact to Harden’s (HOU) face that affects his shot attempt.”
The review found five correct non-calls and two correct calls in the final two minutes.
The league reviews and issues the report on games within five points with two minutes remaining including overtimes when appropriate.
