The Hawks assigned Mike Muscala and DeAndre Bembry to the Erie BayHawks, the team’s G League affiliate, following Wednesday’s win over the Wizards.

Now the only problem is getting the players to Pennsylvania.

Erie received more than 65 inches of snow over the past three days.

Muscala is trying to return from a left ankle sprain. He was inactive Wednesday and will make his second stint to the G League in an effort to return. He appeared in one game last week and had 12 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal in 16 minutes. In his nine games with the Hawks, he has averaged 6.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 22.4 minutes.

“He is making progress, and we are hopefully making the right steps toward getting him healthy,” Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said before Wednesday’s game.

Bembry has played in 18 games for the Hawks this season. He has averaged 4.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.3 minutes. He has struggled of late and has a total of 12 points in his previous five games. He has not appeared in the past two games.

Budenholzer said before Wednesday’s game that the team was closely watching the weather in Erie.

“It’s definitely on our radar,” he said. “We are aware of all the snow that is there.”
