Atlanta United radio partners confirmed

Atlanta United and radio station 92.9 the Game reached an agreement to make the radio station the flagship partner of the MLS expansion team, the team announced Saturday via Twitter.

Adam Schick (play-by-play) and Jason Longshore (commentator) will serve as the broadcast team for 92.9. Schick has broadcast games for Orlando City of MLS.

The Spanish-language station La Mejor, which broadcasts on 1130 AM, 1460 AM and 1600 AM will carry Atlanta United games, the team also announced Saturday. Both deals were previously reported by the AJC.

Armando Carillo (play-by-play), Daniel Cantu (commentator), Jorge Avina (sideline). Cantu does Spanish-language broadcasts for the Braves.

The club will open the season Sunday hosting the New York Red Bulls at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

The MLS team is owned by Arthur Blank, who also owns the Falcons, and 92.9 is the Falcons’ radio partner.

The station will start a preview show from Bobby Dodd Stadium starting at 4 p.m. Sunday. It will air until kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

The radio coverage will include home-and-away game coverage with a play-by-play announcer and analyst.

Atlanta United’s TV partner will be Fox Sports South.
