For the upcoming “Idols Give Back” concert Wednesday, TMZ.com reports that Celine Dion may do a Natalie/Nat King Cole type of duet with the late Elvis Presley, who has been dead for three decades.
Hold back that gag reflex, everybody — at least til we see it.
On a more serious note, Fox today announced U2’s Bono will show up Wednesday to meet the final six contestants and talk about his charity work on behalf of Africa. You can check it out at www.one.org. The contestants also will perform “American Prayer,” a song written by Bono and Dave Stewart about the AIDS emergency in Africa.
I think this is a cool idea. I love the “Unforgettable” duet with the Coles. I think Celine can certainly pull it off with Elvis. And maybe Paris can do one with Tupac.
O.k. Akon (previous idol performer) is in big trouble! Apparently, he had a dance contest of which the winner was to win a trip to Africa, free ride sort of speak!
News reports that a 14 year old girl won the contest of which Akon called her on stage, did some very inappropriate dances on top of her as well as picked her up in a straddling position so the she could "ride" on him. Her ride to Africa was a ride on him, an African. WTF was he thinking? A 14 year old??

Just saw the article about Akorn. Apparently he brought 7 young ladies onstage to freak dance and the 14 year old "won." I'm sure Al Sharpton will be all over this.

So true...I had one teacher in H.S. that pulled me to the side about something. It was by no means "scandalous" but she reminded me that I was to handle myself like a lady. She didn't put me on blast in front of anyone but I was ashamed and embarrassed and NEVER forgot that conversation. (Thank you Mrs. V., wherever you are)
I'm scared. I actually agreed with Rose O'Donut today when she blasted Sheryl Crow. Sheryl said in her "Earth Day" suggestion. Whenever it was said that everyone should only use 1 little square of toilet paper to....well....you know.

Amazing video...got chills. One can see how much of an incredible performer Elvis was, even pairing up with suppsedly one of the better female performs of our days...Elvis just continued to shine.
