The Transportation Security Administration caused a bit of confusion Wednesday when it accidentally listed “medical marijuana” as a permitted item.

On the site’s “What can I bring?” page, TSA incorrectly stated that the drug could be placed in a carry on bag and in checked luggage. However, that is not the case.
Once the organization caught wind of the error, it changed the green "yes" listed beside the item to a red "no."
In a tweet, TSA blamed the error on a new database its using.
It later reiterated its rule on cannabis, stating that TSA security officers do not search for drugs. Law enforcement officers do.
While the flub caused some excitement, many were soon disappointed by the false alarm. The site has since been updated with the correct information.
