Georgia lawmakers send testing and dual-enrollment bill to governor

Georgia lawmakers sent a multifaceted bill to the governor Thursday that both aims to increase the usefulness of mandatory state tests and guarantees that students taking college courses are eligible to be valedictorian even if they never attend classes in their high school.

Senate Bill 211the testing bill, was amended by the House of Representatives with House Bill 114the valedictorian legislation for dual-enrolled students.

The Senate approved the package 52-0.
