Falcons safety William Moore, who was charged with simple battery Thursday, was granted a $2,500 bond during his first appearance before a Fulton County magistrate judge Friday morning.
Moore was in court at the 9 a.m. hearing at the jail, according to Fulton County police spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan. She said Moore would be able to leave jail Friday after posting bond.
Moore, who recently re-signed with the team after playing in his first Pro Bowl, was arrested and charged with simple battery Thursday, according to Fulton County Jail Records.
Few details were immediately available about the arrest.
Police said the Falcons safety was involved in an argument with a woman on Ninth Street in northwest Atlanta, according to Channel 2 Action News. Police said they were told that Moore, 27, threw the woman’s phone on the ground and grabbed her shoulder during the dispute, according to Channel 2.
