STATIONS OF THE CROSS--April 18, 2014 - Atlanta - Catholic Archbishop Wilton Gregory, who carried the cross to Talmadge Park, reflects while waiting for the readings to begin there.The 34th annual Ecumenical Good Friday Pilgrimage (Urban Way of the Cross) got underway at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception Church in downtown Atlanta and was expected to end at the King Center Crypt. The gathering began with an opening prayer by Catholic Archbishop Wilton Gregory, who then carried the cross to the next station at Talmadge Park. Episcopal Bishop Rob Wright was scheduled to deliver the closing reflection at the King Center Reflection Pool. The two mile procession included scripture readings, reflections and prayer.
