Focus on helping others attain rights

White fear is a powerful thing. Brazen, yet subtle enough to go undetected by poll predictors.

To think that the majority of the citizens of this nation do not consider Muslims like me Americans, is disheartening but not defeating.

I will make an effort to smile at every face on the street, to hold my head up high. This is how I will help extinguish that fear of differences between fellow human beings. But I will remain loyal to this nation, because disorder would only exacerbate the pain. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoso obeys the ruler obeys me, and whoso disobeys the ruler disobeys me.”

To my fellow Americans who do not fit Trump’s vision of this country, I have one piece of sanity-retaining advice. Rather than focusing solely on getting yourself justice, help others attain their rights. There is always someone with less, someone you can help.

Clinton’s character lost her the election

Goodbye, Hillary Clinton. You taught us a lot. Women now know that ambition alone is not enough for singular fame. You showed us that mistakes can be overcome, but not by lying. You showed us that a good speech and good delivery are effective when good, solid work is behind them. You showed us that using “public office” speeches should not be the way to wealth. That big money gifts are often only bribes to produce undercover action.

You also showed us that the door of politics is wide open to women of good character, intelligence and compassion. Your character failed you too many times. But you could call it a “good try.” Please leave the political plantation now. You have done enough.
