Tired of hate directed at Trump

There has been nothing but criticism of Donald Trump since he first showed interest in running for president. There have been so many salacious comments, indiscrepancies and nasty talk, not only about him but also his family.

I have silently, but begrudgingly, fumed at the disrespect of the first family. However, when we have to be subjected to it daily, you finally get to the point where you have to speak out! We have heard about Donald’s unacceptability to run our country, the incompetence of his sons and son-in-law, even criticism of his daughter and her line of clothing. Now, we hear about Melania’s shoes, and how rude of her to wear sunglasses during her visit to Los Angeles. Heaven help us, when there are so many tragedies in our world, and we have to be subjected to such nit-picking and hate.

Kneeling is not a sign of disrespect

Why don’t people want to discuss the real reason for the kneeling by many NFL players? The main reason is not to show disrespect for the American flag, but rather to point out certain problems that still exist for so many black or African-Americans. Kneeling is not a show of disrespect for the American flag. Many people know this, but still try to say that is the reason for the kneeling. There are still many racial issues in America today and calling attention to them in any way possible is what many full-bodied Americans are trying to do as they kneel or join arms.

When will the majority of Americans realize the difference between being unpatriotic and trying to bring attention to certain problems that still exist and persist in the lives of so many African-Americans?
