Health care bill a betrayal of working class

The proposed healthcare bill is a massive and heartless attack on the working poor, the only purpose of which is to leave more money in the pockets of the already rich, and the economic upshot of which will be a further increase in wealth inequality. Congratulations Republicans, you have done your job well. Congrats to Dems too for being the weak-kneed servants of Wall Street and Silicon Valley who have quietly and steadily abandoned working people.

Dangerous opposition to leadership is unpatriotic

More than once I have written to warn that, in my opinion, the ongoing backlash to the national election is reaching dangerous levels. It is clear to me that our nation is producing more urban left-leaning voters who simply cannot accept the other side being in charge for awhile. They are only entitled to express themselves within the bounds of our traditional free speech and vote their conscience. However, it is now obvious that many are so upset that they are willing to take the law into their own hands rather than accept the views of the other side for a four-year term in a civilized manner. Too many are getting illegally free with our freedom, which was not free. I served in the military, and I find myself in a minority these days.

I was also the security manager for a large regional arm of the federal government for many years, having a top-secret, critical-sensitive position. I watched the parade of my governments’ leaders change over many years. Although I had personal political opinions which I voted, never once did I consider myself disloyal or unpatriotic, or even consider leaking classified or other sensitive information, or to do anything to undermine the leadership of my government.

What has happened to young people? Who is teaching them this stuff?
