Media plays a role in inciting violence

Instead of pointing fingers at Congress, the media should finally acknowledge that, since last November’s presidential election, it may be responsible for inciting some of the present-day violence in America. Even though elected in our democracy to serve the American people as president, Donald Trump has not been allowed to do so by the media, the politically correct, and the sore losers, who just cannot accept that they not only got the election wrong, but that President Trump may actually succeed in making positive change. Unlike any other president in history, Trump and his family have been held up for ridicule, treated disrespectfully, and suffered false accusations for every trivial and irrelevant thing — allegedly too-small presidential hands, autism of a minor child, a daughter’s and a family’s business dealings, etc. As an avid Trump supporter, I cannot help compare the respect that former Western movie cowboy star, President Reagan was given, and I cannot help but wonder if rough, physically unattractive, backwoods, uneducated President Lincoln would have been treated as Trump is today.

Democratic party needs new leadership

Wanted: New leadership for Democratic party. I am OK with the money spent on the 6th district election. I feel we showed the Republican Party they can be challenged even in their home turf. What I’m not OK with is their seeming lack of enthusiasm to spend time and effort on campaigns they apparently write off with the only justification being ”we just do not have a chance,” which is totally unacceptable. Three cases to legitimize our chances were lost in Kansas, Montana and, surprisingly, South Carolina, which should validate our chances in this Trump-era presidency. The Republican Party has always been the more aggressive. Let’s pull the pages from their playbook and declare some winners in the upcoming elections.
