Pope shouldn’t speak on political issues

Pope Francis was quick to condemn President Trump for relocating the Israel American embassy and recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The Pope sides with the two-state preference of China, Cuba, Russia, Syria, Iran, Venezuela and every other U.N. banana republic.

How inspirational. Pope Francis is not in sync with President Trump’s immigration policy, he doesn’t like the “wall” or Trump’s position on the environment.

Pope Francis previously said President Trump is not “pro-life” because he does not support Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The Pope has a habit (no pun intended) of regurgitating Argentine Marxist ideology.

We hear very little traditional “non-negotiable” Catholic theology messaging to American Catholic politicians, both Democrats and Republicans. Perhaps this is another reason why Catholic bishops are losing credibility with a confused, increasingly ambivalent flock.

The Pope needs to stick to his day job.

Vogtle deal a scam enabled by state, PSC

Plant Vogtle’s attempted expansion has been a monumental failure. And yet, the power companies associated with the project have already posted profits. These profits were handed to them by our state legislature through a shady financing deal that forced ratepayers to pay upfront for the project. Complicit in this scam is a Public Service Commission too eager to believe whatever the power companies were peddling.

The power companies should give back the profits that they have already reaped from this project.
