City Schools of Decatur will dismiss later than anticipated, after severe weather pushed through metro Atlanta.

The system announced the delay on its Facebook page. The dismissals will resume once the threat has passed, officials said.

Tornadoes were confirmed Wednesday afternoon in Cobb and Carroll counties.
