Suspect in Thanksgiving American flag thefts contacts deputies



An 18-year-old suspect has contacted Hall County sheriff’s deputies about the theft of several American flags from neighborhoods.

“No charges have been filed as of yet, as the investigation is still ongoing,” Deputy Stephen Wilbanks said Thursday.

The thefts occurred early in the morning on Thanksgiving and a person was captured on surveillance video, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.
