Tyrell Roach of Stone Mountain was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The search for a driver who allegedly opened fire on Ga. 400 in Buckhead is over, Atlanta police said.

Authorities arrested Tyrell Roach of Stone Mountain on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police spokesman Donald T. Hannah told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution just before 11 a.m. Friday.

Roach, 20, is accused of firing at least seven shots at a man who took too long to get onto Ga. 400 on Nov. 17, according to an Atlanta police incident report obtained by The AJC.

“A guy in a silver Altima passed me on the left (oncoming traffic) and gave me a look while honking the horn,” the man targeted said in the report.

Gunfire erupted near the old toll plaza on southbound Ga. 400.

One bullet pierced the back of the man’s car, and another hit the back side of the car, police said in the report. Police found one bullet in his trunk.

The man, who was not injured in the shooting, told investigators the Nissan Altima had two green tiger stickers on it. A woman was in the passenger seat.

Roach was booked into Fulton County Jail on Nov. 25, Fulton County jail spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.

He was denied bond during a first appearance hearing the next day, she said.
