Watch baby born without arms feed herself with feet

A Russian woman’s video, which has been viewed more than 57 million times since last week, shows her toddler daughter, who was born without arms, feeding herself using her feet.

The video was posted by Elmira Knutzen, who, according to her Facebook page, lives in Moscow. The footage of little Vasilina has been shared more than 1.3 million times.

In the video, the little girl is seen trying to get her food into her mouth by clutching her fork between her toes. When the first attempt doesn’t work, she carefully uses her other foot to better secure the bite of food on the fork’s tines, then adjusts the fork into a better position. Her second try is successful.

The clip, posted “for Vasilina’s fans,” is just 18 seconds long, but it has brought the toddler admiration and well-wishes in multiple languages from around the globe.

“A lot of courage to her and to the parents,” wrote Michel Mertens from Brussels.

“There is no limitations.... when the mission has to be accomplished! In Blessings and light,” wrote Katia Maria Bastos Bomfim of Brazil.

Others seemed to find inspiration in the little girl’s accomplishment.

“You think you have issues and challenges in your life. Think twice and pray for the ability to overcome your disabilities in life. Never give up hope. This little girl won't,” wrote Rik Sturgis of Topeka, Kansas.
