An altercation at a Powder Springs house party in late November led to multiple people shooting and one man dead.

As of Tuesday morning, two men were in Cobb County jail without bond on felony murder charges in the death of 20-year-old Dallas man Rodney Koen.

James Hunter Reynal, of Austell, was booked on Monday, and Adam Maurice Summers has been in jail since Thursday, records show.

The party was at a home in the 4600 block of Hunter Road early Nov. 26, according to a warrant.

An altercation broke out about 12:45 a.m. and, according to the warrant, Reynal and Summers were among the “multiple subjects” who started firing into the crowd of partygoers.

The altercation involved Koen, police said, but investigators did not indicate whether Koen had a gun. He was shot multiple times.

Both being felons, neither Reynal nor Summers were allowed to have a gun, the warrant said.

Summers, who lives in Dallas, has a hold on him from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
