Suwanee Comprehensive Plan will host first of three open houses

Suwanee will host the first of three public meetings as part of the development of the city’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan at 6:30 p.m. April 27 at City Hall, 330 Town Center Ave.

This year-long planning process will include community meetings, surveys, and meetings with city officials to determine what the city has already accomplished, what things the city would like to accomplish next, and how to get there.

Once completed, the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will help dictate public policy related to transportation, economic development, land use, facilities, recreation, social services and housing. The resulting plan will help create a guide for council members, city staff, and citizens and help create annual department goals and budgets tied directly to the plan and its objectives. Additional meetings will be held at the same time and location on July 20 and Sept. 28.

PHOTOS: Hines Ward’s N. Fulton home could be yours for just under $6M

This one might remind you of an episode of MTV’s “Cribs.” In Sandy Springs, there is a $5.89 million home for sale that is fit for a king. Or at least, it was good enough for a Super Bowl MVP. A home nestled on Northwest Riverside Drive is owned by Hines Ward — a former University of Georgia and Pittsburgh Steelers’ star...
