DeKalb County police are investigating an argument turned crash that ended with a 10-year-old boy dead, police said.

DeKalb County police said a man broke into a church, stole things and had a meal, leaving a note: “Sorry, I was hungry.”

Officers were called to Little Miller Grove Baptist on Peters Road, Tucker, on Oct. 10, the agency said in a post on Facebook.

“When they arrived, they apprehended a suspect attempting to flee from the rear of the location on foot,” the post said. “The stolen property was returned back to the owner.”

During the follow-up investigation, detectives linked the suspect, whose name wasn’t released, to at least four additional overnight burglaries in the area.
