The Smyrna City Council approved rezonings July 17 for 18 new houses in three areas of the city:

  • 13 single-family detached houses on 7 acres at 3360 and 3380 Pinetree Drive by Paramount Realty Group. A new road is proposed with houses on either side that end at a cul-de-sac.
  • 3 single-family houses on almost .7 acre at 4149 N. Cooper Lake Road by Craftmark Development, proposing to include them as Phase II of the Park Place Subdivision. That subdivision was developed with 11 single-family houses and completed last fall.
  • 2 houses on .3 acre at 2925 Mann St. at Stephens Street by J. Carpenter Homes and the demolition of the existing house.
