Eventually, “Black Friday” might be changed to “Black Thursday through Sunday.”

Until then, just deal with the misnomer. 

Hey, speaking of the pre-Christmas holiday: The 2017 Black Friday hours have been announced for Buckhead’s two major malls.

The most important distinction between the two is that Lenox Square Mall will be open Thanksgiving evening; Phipps Plaza will not.

Lenox Square, 3393 Peachtree Road NE

• Thanksgiving day, Thursday, Nov. 23: 6 p.m.-1 a.m. Note: Santa will not be available for pictures this day.

• Friday, Nov. 24: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.

• Saturday, Nov. 25: 9 a.m.-10 p.m.

• Sunday, Nov. 26: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Here are the 2017 Black Friday hours for Town Center at Cobb

Phipps Plaza, 3500 Peachtree Road NE

• Thanksgiving day, Thursday, Nov. 23: Closed

• Friday, Nov. 24: 8 a.m.-10 p.m.

• Saturday, Nov. 25: 9 a.m. -10 p.m.

• Sunday, Nov. 26: Noon-6 p.m.
