Sandy Springs has announced it is seeking qualified companies to bid on providing recreation and parks and municipal court services for the city.

A draft request for proposals is scheduled to open Jan. 31, with a pre-proposal meeting for interested candidates Feb. 20 at City Hall, Building 500, 7840 Roswell Road. The two, final, requests for proposals are to be released March 7.

Sandy Springs pioneered the outsourcing of most municipal services, using a public-private partnership model, when it was incorporated in 2005. It is the second-largest city in metro Atlanta, with more than 105,000 residents.
