Sandy Springs has announced the first city function booked at the new Performing Arts Center at City Springs: The annual State of the City address, June 26 in the Studio Theatre of the events venue.

Mayor Rusty Paul and the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber will host the event ahead of the official grand opening of the City Springs downtown redevelopment, scheduled for August.

The Studio Theatre will be a 350-seat, 5,000-square-foot flexible space that also will host City Council meetings. It is intended to be a community meeting space, a venue for small performances, and a location for corporate meetings and banquet-style events. A 2,730-square-foot Studio Theatre Lobby will provide pre-function space.

The State of the city address is open to the public and includes a luncheon. Pre-reservations are required. To reserve seats, contact the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber, 678-443-2990, or go to www.sspchamber.org.
