The Roswell City Council has approving accepting $17,049 in federal funds to partially fund a survey of the city’s historic district.
The council passed a resolution accepting the Historic Preservation Fund grant from the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The grant requires a local match of $15,000, making $32,049 available to complete the historic resources survey, staff said in a report to the council.
The grant program “is structured to support local preservation and to assist communities statewide to comply with the Certified Local Government program,” according to the resolution. The Community Development Department will oversee the funded project.
