Riverdale man killed in motorcycle crash

A tractor-trailer hit a motorcycle on Old National Highway at Flat Shoals Road.

Stanley Herbert Jr., 45, of Riverdale, died on the way to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.

A 45-year-old Riverdale man was killed Saturday after a tractor-trailer struck a motorcycle, police said.

The crash happened about 2:30 a.m. on Old National Highway at Flat Shoals Road, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The man died on the way to the hospital. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Stanley Herbert Jr.

An autopsy is set for Monday, the office said. 

No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation.
