The city of Holly Springs has set a kick-off workshop later this month for Envision Holly Springs, its update of the 10-year Livable Centers Initiative Study.

Residents are invited to give comments at the workshop scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Holly Springs Community Center in the former train depot. Among the study’s goals: a pedestrian-friendly, vibrant downtown with a variety of housing.

Envision Holly Springs is funded by the Livable Centers Initiative, a community planning program sponsored by the Atlanta Regional Commission. The initiative seeks to balance transportation and land use, promote a mix of land uses, and encourage sustainable growth, the city says.
