Attendees enjoy Smyrna’s Spring Jonquil festival in 2014.

Smyrna’s favorite festival is in bloom.

The Spring Jonquil Festival this weekend will feature 175 arts and crafts booths, 15 food options, live entertainment and children’s activities.

If that sounds good, head to the Village Green from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

If you're wondering what a "jonquil" is and who doesn't, check out this explanation and then come right back to this webpage.

It’s OK, we’ll wait.

You back? Pretty cool history, right?

Anyway, the route for the annual Jonquil City jog will be between 7:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., so you should probably leave the Atlanta Road area before then. See all the closures here.

If you want to pretend and eat like you've just run, you can pick from: cotton candy, candy apples, corn dogs, hand-dipped ice cream, snow cones, Polish sausage, chicken sandwiches and assorted barbecue, the city says.

If you'd rather sit, you can watch the "professional Frisbee dog entertainment" show K-9s in Flight, a performance by teen martial artists who've been featured on "America's Got Talent" and a 12-foot-tall walking tree man named "Walking TreeMan."

For the kiddos, there'll be inflatable slides, a rock-climbing wall and a show by master puppeteer Peter Hart.
