Have you tried the new ice cream parlor in Avondale Estates?

There's still a bit more heat left in 2016, time enough to try out Avondale Estates' newest ice cream parlor.

Avondale Ice Cream opened in September and so far is getting good reviews on its Facebook page.

“Everybody young and old loves ice cream,” owner Tushar Patel told The Champion. "Lots of people come here to shop or eat at one of the restaurants and they stop by. It’s on the city’s main thoroughfare and there’s lots of parking.”

The shop is located in the Twin Oaks Plaza shopping center at 2837 College Ave.
