Another gun theft incident is under investigation in Forsyth County.

Sheriff Ron Freeman said three Forsyth County firefighters’ personal vehicles were broken into early Monday morning at Fire Station 10 on Old Atlanta Road in South Forsyth.

Freeman said three handguns were taken sometime between 1 and 7 a.m. The sheriff said firefighters arriving for shift change spotted broken windows and alerted authorities. Other items such as laptops and similar electronics weren’t touched.

No suspects have been arrested or identified.

The sheriff said there’s no apparent connection between Monday’s case and the theft of some 100 firearms from a Cumming pawn store early Saturday. Several suspects have been arrested in that case.
