Get ready to get scared: Netherworld Haunted House is now open for the Halloween season.
This year is the attraction's last in Norcross, where it's been since 1997. It will move to Stone Mountain after the Halloween season, joining the Escape the Netherworld "escape room" attraction that's been open since Sept. 9.
Netherworld is the only two-story haunted house in metro Atlanta, and it features two different scare options: more traditional haunted house Primal Scream and the clown-themed Mr. Grendel’s 3D Funhouse of Horrors. For opening weekend, Sept. 22 and 23, guests can get a special combo ticket for both attractions costing $28. The combo ticket usually costs $35 on weekends.
Netherworld is also offering a behind-the-scenes tour for the first time in its history. The tour costs $200 per person and is limited to two groups of 16 people or fewer per night. On the tour, guests will see how the elaborate attraction is made, from makeup to sets, and meet “key people” behind Netherworld’s success. The tour tickets are only available online.
The terrifying attraction has been consistently rated one of the best haunted houses in the country. More than 75,000 people visit each year to get freaked out by Netherworld’s werewolves, zombies and, this year, creepy clowns.
Celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Ludacris and Slash have also gotten in on the scares.
Netherworld is open seven days a week until Halloween, with a closing weekend Nov. 3 through 5. After that, the attraction is moving to Stone Mountain for good. Tickets are available here.
