A series of overnight lane and ramp closures in the Sandy Springs-Dunwoody area have been announced as the preliminaries for the reconstruction of the Ga. 400/I-285 interchange kick into high gear.

The right shoulder of the Ga. 400 northbound ramp to eastbound I-285 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday for drain cleaning and video inspections, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Separately, one right northbound and southbound lane will be closed on Roswell Road between Northwood Drive and Allen Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday for the same type of drain and video work. Also, a section of the on-ramp from the MARTA North Springs station to southbound Ga. 400 will be closed for survey work from 1 to 4 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.

GDOT says that the exact dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, pay attention and watch for workers in work zones.
