N. Fulton town hall on tax assessments set

The Fulton County commissioner representing Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood and parts of Midtown and Sandy Springs has called a town hall meeting for June 19 to talk about 2017 property tax assessments and how homeowners can appeal them.

Commissioner Lee Morris, representing District 3, will hold the town hall with Chief Appraiser Dwight Robinson from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 4393 Garmon Road NW, Atlanta.

Fulton residents have seen sharp increases in their 2017 property assessments, which could lead to much higher tax bills. The deadline to appeal tax assessments is July 10.
