Fulton County schools officials said that registration for students attending kindergarten this fall is set for late March—from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 28 and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., March 29. Parents of incoming kindergartneers, as well as other new elementary students for the 2018-19 school year, should visit the school their child will be attending. Parents should also bring required documentation including proof of eye, ear and dental screening, immunization certificate, birth certificate, proof of residency and social security number.

Georgia law requires that students be five years old by Sept. 1 to enroll in kindergarten and age six by Sept. 1 to enroll in first grade.

District officials also said that more than 1,700 spaces in pre-K classes are available at 45 elementary schools. Enrollment is handled through a lottery system and registration dates vary by school, but generally fall during mid and late March.
